Classification and application of Aluminum Coil （1）

Aluminum coil is an aluminum alloy material which is widely used in the whole social production 

and life. Accordingly to the metal element contains in the aluminum coil, normally the aluminum 

coil can be divided into six categories. Let’s see the probably classification and application of it 

in our below articles.

1. 1000 series

In all the series, 1000 series is the largest aluminum content and it is also known as pure aluminum 

whose purity can reach above 99.00%. Because they do not contain other technical elements, so the 

production process is relatively simple that means the price is competitively cheaper. It is the most 

commonly used series in conventional industry. Some of them are mainly used for roofing tile.

2. 2000 series

The character of 2000 series aluminum is high hardness, which was originally the highest concentrations of copper, probably in about 3-5%. This series aluminum coil belong to aviation aluminum which is not often used in conventional industrial area.
